To give our long, light brown hair a look that would be both polished and beachy, our colorist suggested lightening just the middle and ends. She pulled over a coworker with a similar style to demonstrate, then graciously offered to order us lunch. She applied bleach from the bottom up (ends to jawline) and around our face, but didn't touch our roots. Forty-five minutes and one shampoo later, she applied a rinse over those same areas to turn them a honey hue. She finished with quite possibly the best blowout we've had, sculpting our newly blonde ends into soft curls that made us look almost angelic.
